Dutch prime minister visits Kyiv

Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof has arrived in Ukraine and is currently in Kyiv.

Details: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has shared footage of the visit from the Wall of Remembrance near St Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery.

Quote: "Together with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Dick Schoof, we honoured the memory of fallen Ukrainian defenders. With gratitude, we cherish the memory of everyone who stood for our freedom and their heroic deeds."

Background:

• Lithuania's new Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė has arrived in Kyiv on a visit, and this is her first foreign trip in office and her first visit to Ukraine in this role.
• Schoof has said earlier that NATO could in the future shoot down Russian aircraft that violate the airspace of alliance members.
