Quote: "There was also a long report from Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi – we spent nearly an hour with him going through all the frontline sectors, the training of our brigades, and logistics. Right now, the focus is naturally on the Dobropillia operation, our counteroffensive.
Since it began on 21 August, the Russians have suffered over 12,000 losses – and that's just in the Pokrovsk and Dobropillia areas. Of those 12,000, more than 7,200 are irrecoverable losses."
Details: Zelenskyy also heard a report from Vasyl Maliuk, Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), and approved "some plans for the Service – our asymmetric responses to Russia's war".
Quote: "We also discussed the results achieved by our SSU warriors – Special Operations Centre A of the Security Service of Ukraine. They fight on the front lines alongside other branches of the defence forces, including near Pokrovsk and in other sectors."
More details: Zelenskyy noted that the petrol shortage in Russia has now reached about 20%, adding that the Russian authorities are drawing on diesel reserves they had been keeping for a "rainy day".
