Chernihiv Oblast energy company employee dies in hospital following Russian strike, death toll rises to two

A worker from the Chernihivoblenergo, Chernihiv Oblast's distribution system operator, who had been injured in a Russian drone strike overnight, has died in hospital. Three others remain there.

Details: Chernihiv Oblast Military Administration confirmed that the death toll from the Russian attack had risen to two Chernihivoblenergo employees.

The administration wrote that one of the vehicles had caught fire after the first strike and during the response efforts, a second strike had hit another company vehicle. One worker was killed instantly, while four others were injured and taken to hospital.

The Russians also attacked a local firefighting crew that had arrived to provide assistance.
