He emphasised that Ukraine is ready to repair the power lines and ensure the plant's safety with its own specialised personnel, but Russian attacks are hampering the repair crews' work. The president also called for "a clearer and honest position" from the International Atomic Energy Agency, stressing that only Ukrainian control and specialised personnel provide "a one-hundred-per-cent guarantee of safety".

Quote: "Russia is pouncing on the opportunity that global diplomacy's eyes are on the Middle East. Putin escalated the situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, and Russia has also made its attacks on our energy more vicious. In fact, through the aerial attacks, the Russians are now trying to compensate for what they failed to achieve on the ground – the results they wanted to gain in the spring and summer."

More details: Zelenskyy said he has discussed the situation at the ZNPP with Ukraine's partners and urged the international community to increase pressure on Russia to guarantee the facility's safety.

Quote: "It is Ukrainian control and our Ukrainian specialists that provide a one-hundred-percent guarantee of safety. Russia has no interest in restoring safety – it must be pressured into doing so."
