Details: According to Ukrainian intelligence, 86 of these companies remain outside the sanctions imposed by the countries of the sanctions coalition.
The Technodinamika holding company reportedly plays a key role in the production of artillery systems – both tubed and rocket artillery – as well as munitions, gunpowder and military explosives.
In addition, its companies manufacture unmanned aerial vehicles, launchers for long-range cruise missiles, armour plates and personal protective equipment. They also develop training simulators for military aircraft, parachute systems and aircraft engines.
Defence Intelligence of Ukraine also noted that these companies carry out maintenance and life-extension work on strategic bombers such as the Tu-95MS and Tu-160.
"Despite the strategic importance of the holding company for the Russian defence industrial base, 86 out of 145 companies remain outside the sanctions of coalition countries. Among them are manufacturers of key components for Russian missile systems and armoured vehicles," Defence Intelligence of Ukraine stated.
The list contains the following:
- Soyuz Federal Centre of Dual Technologies and Morozov Plant – developers of engines and solid fuel for the Topol‑M, Yars and Iskander systems;
- Karl Liebknecht Mechanical Plant of Leningrad – producer of armour-piercing sub-calibre shells for smoothbore guns of Russian tanks, particularly the Armata platform;
- Ufa Aggregate Production Association – manufacturer of components for Kh‑101 and Kh‑59M2 / Kh‑59M2A missiles;
- Boris Vannikov Stamp Machine-Building Plant – producer of warheads for ammunition used by Grad and Tornado‑G multiple-launch rocket systems, aircraft bomb casings, and the only Russian manufacturer of linked cartridges for artillery rounds in 23 mm, 30 mm and 40 mm calibres.
Defence Intelligence of Ukraine noted that the published information includes identification data of the companies, their functions within the holding company and Rostec as a whole, a scheme of their relationships and subordination, as well as data on the sanctions applied to them.
Background: In September, Defence Intelligence of Ukraine released another selection of foreign technological equipment used by Russia's largest tank and armoured vehicle manufacturer, Uralvagonzavod.
