Zelenskyy on drone defence: Additional helicopter groups will be formed
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, where they discussed, among other issues, expanding the capabilities of army aviation.

Quote: "As for military matters, we defined how to expand the capabilities of army aviation to defend against drones. Additional helicopter groups will be formed. We are working with partners to provide Ukraine with more of the necessary types of aircraft.
Reports were also presented on cooperation with manufacturers of interceptor drones – maximum production volumes are needed."
Details: The meeting also addressed the protection and restoration of the energy system, preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group (also known as the Ramstein Format) scheduled for Wednesday 15 October, and ongoing work with partners on the PURL and SAFE programmes.

Reports were also delivered regarding Kyiv and the oblast, as well as Dnipro Oblast. Constant attention is paid to Kharkiv and the oblast, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Kherson, and Poltava and the oblast.
For every other region of our country, we have clear data on the necessary equipment, required work and funding. Specific instructions have been given for each area."
