Russian troops attacked the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson at noon. An elderly woman and a man have been killed in the attack, and another resident has been seriously injured.

Quote: "An elderly woman was killed in an enemy attack. My condolences to her family and loved ones. At this very moment, doctors are trying to save the life of a 55-year-old man who sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to the head, arm and chest. His condition is critical."

Details: According to Prokudin, a man, 45, had also been fatally injured in the Russian attack on Kherson's Dniprovskyi district.

According to Prokudin, emergency medical teams also provided on-site assistance to three other people – a 57-year-old man and two women aged 60 and 62. They were diagnosed with concussion and blast and head injuries.

Background:

  • Earlier on 14 October, Russian troops attacked a humanitarian mission of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in the Bilozerka hromada in Kherson Oblast. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]
  • One lorry was burnt out and another heavily damaged in the attack. Two vehicles managed to leave the area under fire. The people travelling in the convoy were unharmed.
