Peaceful life won't return to Ukraine in coming years, Ukraine's spy chief says

Ukraine will not have a peaceful or threat-free life in the coming years, according to Kyrylo Budanov, Head of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU).

I do not mean that we will be constantly at war. But we must be ready to defend ourselves, including through armed resistance at any moment. This will be both a challenge and a test for our society.

And we will have to live with that."

Background: After meeting with US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy did not argue with his opinion that Ukraine and Russia "should stop where they are".
