Ukrainian drones destroy Russian Valdai radar station in Crimea

Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) has reported the destruction of a Russian Valdai radar system at the Dzhankoi airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea.

Details: DIU reported that the operation had been carried out by specialised personnel from the Unmanned Systems Directorate of the Active Operations Department.

Using drones, Ukrainian forces pinpointed and launched a precise strike on the camouflaged Russian radar station built to detect small UAVs.

DIU noted that Valdai is a state-of-the-art system used by Russia to counter UAVs. Its destruction marks another step in the process of demilitarising Crimea.
