Ukrainian forces repel Russian mechanised assault on Orikhiv front – video

Ukrainian forces repelled a large-scale mechanised assault by Russian forces on the Orikhiv front on 20 October.

Quote: "Russian troops carried out a failed assault on Ukrainian positions on the Orikhiv front around 14:00 on 20 October 2025. The advance was conducted along two main routes: towards the village of Mala Tokmachka (units from the 71st Motor Rifle Regiment of the 42nd Guards Evpatoria Motor Rifle Division, forces up to two companies with armoured vehicles) and towards Novoandriivka (the 503rd Guards Motor Rifle Regiment of the 19th Motor Rifle Division).

In total, aerial reconnaissance recorded the movement of 11 armoured combat vehicles, 1 tank, 10 motorcycles and up to 120 Russian infantry within the area of responsibility of the 65th Velykyi Luh Mechanised Brigade."

Details: Ukrainian defenders reportedly destroyed or damaged a significant part of Russian equipment. "In particular, six armoured combat vehicles and eight motorcycles were destroyed, and another five armoured combat vehicles and one tank were damaged on the Novoandriivka front," the military said.
