Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) asked the Konotop city authorities to evacuate about two hundred train passengers following this morning's Russian attack on Ukraine's railway infrastructure.

Quote: "In order to rescue people, we are providing two large city buses, so Routes 5 and 1 will run with significantly longer intervals. Please be understanding."

Background: Trains in Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv oblasts have been disrupted due to Russian attacks. In Sumy Oblast, rolling stock and railway infrastructure were damaged, and two members of a locomotive crew were taken to hospital to be examined.
