Ukraine has successfully struck 160 Russian oil production and refining facilities since the beginning of the year, with 20 hit in September and October alone.

Quote: "That's six oil refineries, two oil terminals, three oil depots and nine oil pumping stations.

This has led to a 20% deficit in the domestic Russian fuel market and has shut down 37% of its refining capacity.
These are legitimate military targets. Oil production and refining account for 90% of Russia's defence budget. These are dirty oil roubles that the enemy uses to kill us."
Background:
- Earlier, Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service stated that Russia could become up to 60% dependent on fuel imports by the end of the year unless it has at least six months for uninterrupted repairs.
- Ukrainian drone attacks, which have hit over 20 major oil refineries in Russia since early August, have plunged the country's fuel market into a crisis the likes of which it has never faced before.
- The BBC estimates that at least 57 Russian regions – more than half of the country – have experienced fuel supply disruptions following Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries.
