We are reinforcing the troops with additional units, weapons and equipment, particularly unmanned systems.

We are increasing pressure on the Dobropillia salient. We are continuing to liberate and mop up territory, which is forcing the enemy to disperse its forces and preventing them from concentrating their main efforts in the Pokrovsk area."

Details: Syrskyi said Ukrainian forces have advanced on certain axes around the Dobropillia salient over the past day.

Quote: "Overall, since the start of the operation, 188 sq km [of territory] has been liberated and 248.7 sq km has been cleared of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups."

Background:

  • On 1 November, Oleksandr Syrskyi said there was no encirclement or blockade of the cities of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in Donetsk Oblast, and that a complex operation to wipe out and push back Russian forces in Pokrovsk was ongoing involving, among others, Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine and Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU).
  • On the same day, the 7th Rapid Response Corps of Ukraine's Air Assault Forces reported that Ukrainian troops had improved their tactical position in several districts of Pokrovsk.
