Ukrainian forces clear Pokrovsk City Council building and raise Ukrainian flag

Assault troops from Ukraine's Skelia unit, the 425th Separate Assault Regiment, have conducted a mop-up operation in the city council building in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, and raised the Ukrainian flag over it.

Details: The Ukrainian military said that the operation involved the 210th and 1st Assault Battalions and was carried out in stages.

The two assault groups set off for the operation at night. Despite a vehicle being hit, they entered the city and killed Russian troops on their way to the building.

The soldiers said that one member of their group was wounded but still completed the task.

As a result, the assault troops of the Skelia Regiment reinstated the Ukrainian flag over the Pokrovsk City Council building.

The regiment added that there are still Russian troops in the city, but these groups are being wiped out.
