Zelenskyy approves appointment of commander for Unmanned Air Defence Systems
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has approved the appointment of Yurii Cherevashenko as commander of Unmanned Air Defence Systems.

Quote: "President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has approved the appointment of Colonel Yurii Cherevashenko as Commander of Unmanned Air Defence Systems – Deputy Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The corresponding order was signed by Minister of Defence Denys Shmyhal.
Yurii Cherevashenko took part in forming the first rapid-response mobile air defence brigades and has recently been working on interceptor drone capabilities. In his new role, he will be responsible for scaling up the unmanned component within the Air Force."
Details: Zelenskyy has also approved many tasks for the new commander during a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
These include the active deployment of drones, specifically interceptor drones, and strengthening the air defence system with state-of-the-art weapons.
