Firefighters have extinguished a large fire that broke out after a Russian strike on an industrial facility in Sumy.

Details: The SES reported that firefighters were forced to suspend operations and take shelter several times due to the threat of repeated Russian strikes.

  • Earlier on the afternoon of Thursday 13 November, Russian forces hit an industrial facility in Sumy’s industrial zone, prompting local authorities to urge residents to close their windows and stay indoors.

  • According to Ukrainska Pravda, the Russians targeted the Polisan paint and varnish production plant. The city administration confirmed that the strike was carried out by a Russian drone.
