Russian strike damages Kyiv Institute of Automation where Ukrainian artists work – photos

The Kyiv Institute of Automation was damaged in a Russian strike on the night of 13-14 November. Ukrainian artists rent studios in the building.

Details: The studios in the building belong to Karina Synytsia, Sana Shakhmuradova-Tanska, Yura Bolsa, Dasha Chechushkova and many other Ukrainian artists.

Synytsia said that her studio sustained minimal damage and is effectively intact, with only the outer pane of a window blown out by the blast wave. Relevant services are recording damage in other studios.

This is the second time that the Russians have struck the Institute. The first attack was on the night of 27-28 August 2025.

Artist Sabina Magnitofon told Ukrainska Pravda.Kultura that 20 studios had been affected then. A fundraising drive raised UAH470,000 (US$11,000) and 15 windows were purchased for repairs.

Background: On the night of 13-14 November, Russian forces conducted a large-scale missile and drone attack on Kyiv Oblast. Six people have been injured in the strike and fires and damage to civilian infrastructure have been recorded across five districts.
