Ukrainian troops couldn't evacuate brother-in-arms with head wound for three days – robot came to rescue
A robotic system has saved the life of a Ukrainian soldier who suffered a head wound from Russian fire in Donetsk Oblast, three days after he was injured.

Details: Oleh, a Ukrainian soldier, came under attack from a Russian drone on the Kostiantynivka front, sustaining multiple shrapnel wounds to his hands and feet.
Furthermore, a piece of shrapnel pierced his helmet and became lodged in the crown of his head.
The unit could not evacuate the soldier for three days.
Quote: "The enemy's activity made it impossible to evacuate the wounded person using either a pickup truck or an ATV. A robotic ground system proved to be helpful."
Details: At night, an operation to evacuate the soldier began. The robot was able to get Oleh to a relatively safe spot at noon. Then using a pickup truck, he was transported to a stabilisation point – a frontline medical post – where he received first aid.
The wounded defender will undergo further treatment at a military hospital.
