Greece reveals details of gas supply deal with Ukraine

Greek natural gas operator DEPA has reported that a gas supply deal just signed by Ukraine and Greece is designed to cover the first quarter of 2026.

Details: DEPA has said that it has signed a letter of intent with Naftogaz, Ukraine's largest national oil and gas company, regarding the supply of "natural gas to the market of Ukraine for the winter period between December 2025 and March 2026".

Quote: "Under the framework of the prospective agreement, LNG volumes originating from the United States are expected to be transported through Route 1, offered jointly by the gas transmission system operators of Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine."

More details: DEPA adds that the letter is "a tangible step in strengthening regional energy cooperation and advancing Europe's energy security architecture".
