Ukrainian Armed Forces debunk Russian fake news about encirclement near Kupiansk

Russian propagandists have circulated fake news about an alleged encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of the settlement of Podoly near Kupiansk in Kharkiv Oblast.

Details: The claims about an encirclement began to spread on 12 November via Russian propagandist media outlets. Later, Ukrainian soldiers posted a video stating that on 16 November they investigated a pig farm after receiving information that Russian soldiers had been spotted there.

Quote from the 10th Army Corps: "Russian propaganda again writes to us from a parallel reality. This time, they claimed to have supposedly 'taken the left bank of Kupiansk' and 'encircled Ukrainian forces in the vicinity of Podoly'.

The only problem is one small detail: our units did not find the enemy there at all.

And we were looking really hard. We even checked the bushes."
