Ukraine's Energy Ministry has announced the introduction of emergency power outages nationwide due to Russian strikes on the country's energy infrastructure.

Details: Once the security situation allows, emergency workers and power engineers will begin dealing with the aftermath of the attack to restore the electricity supply in the affected regions as quickly as possible.

"Emergency power outages will be lifted once the situation in the power grid stabilises," the Energy Ministry stated.

Background: On the morning of 19 November, Russia attacked Ukraine with drones and missiles. Explosions were heard in Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.
