As of 09:30 on 20 November, electricity consumption was 2.6% lower than at the same time yesterday, Wednesday. Ukrenergo said the drop is due to a greater volume of restriction measures being applied.

On 19 November, the daily peak of electricity consumption occurred in the morning, 2.6% lower than the previous day's maximum. Ukrenergo said the drop was due to the effects of the large-scale missile and drone attacks and the introduction of consumption restrictions across all oblasts of Ukraine.

The company emphasised that the need to use electricity in limited amounts and avoid unnecessary consumption will remain throughout the entire day.

Background:

  • On 20 November, electricity consumption restrictions are being applied in all oblasts of Ukraine.
  • On 20 November, Kyiv households will have access to electricity for between 6 and 12.5 hours, depending on the schedules of rolling blackouts.
