Death toll after Russian attack on Ternopil rises to 28

As of now, 27 people have been killed in Ternopil following a Russian missile strike on a residential building, and 94 have been injured.

Quote: "Ternopil: Rescue workers have retrieved the body of a woman from beneath the rubble. Among the 27 people killed are 3 children. A total of 94 people have been injured, including 18 children."


Details: SES added that around 950 sq m of reinforced concrete structures have been dismantled and 460 tonnes of construction debris have been removed. The search and rescue operations are ongoing.
Updated at 22:44: Later, the State Emergency Service reported that rescue workers had recovered the body of another person killed from under the rubble.
The number of people killed in the Russian missile strike has risen to 28, including 3 children, with 94 people injured and 16 people considered missing.
Background:
- On the night of 18-19 November, Russia carried out a combined attack on Ukrainian cities. Explosions were heard in Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.
- In Ternopil, a high-rise residential building was destroyed by the Russian strike. Early reports from the Air Force indicated that a Kh-101 missile hit the building.
