Background:
- On the night of 20-21 November, US media published the full list of points from the new US peace plan that had been shared with Ukraine for review.
- Among other things, the plan reportedly includes Ukraine renouncing NATO membership and recognising Russian-occupied Crimea, Luhansk and Donetsk as de facto Russian, as well as recognising Kherson and Zaporizhzhia along the current front line as Russian-controlled.
- The Office of the President of Ukraine publicly confirmed on Thursday that Zelenskyy had received the draft plan from the US side and was prepared to discuss it.
- According to media reports, Europe is preparing its own peace plan, which would be fairer to Ukraine.
