On 10 November, Head of SAPO Oleksandr Klymenko set up a commission to conduct an internal investigation into a possible leak of pre-trial investigation materials from SAPO and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).
Klymenko stated that an internal inquiry into his deputy, Syniuk, is ongoing, and its findings may result in both disciplinary and criminal action.
According to Ukrainska Pravda sources in law enforcement, First Deputy Head of SAPO Andrii Syniuk had access to high-profile cases involving large-scale corruption in the energy sector. In the absence of SAPO Head Oleksandr Klymenko, he acted in his stead.
