US "peace plan" drafted by Kremlin special envoy, his US counterpart and Trump's son-in-law – Bloomberg
Bloomberg has found that the US "peace plan" for Ukraine was drafted in October during a meeting between Steve Witkoff, US President Donald Trump's special envoy, Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and Kirill Dmitriev, Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin's special envoy.

Details: Bloomberg based its report on conversations with several sources familiar with the discussions surrounding the US "peace plan" for Ukraine.
It writes that what later became known as the "peace plan" was drafted in October at a meeting involving Witkoff, Kushner and Dmitriev.
Neither US Secretary of State Marco Rubio nor President Donald Trump had been aware of the plan's existence until late, but Bloomberg reports that Trump approved it once he was briefed.
Sources told Bloomberg that the role of US Vice President JD Vance in shaping decisions on Russia's war against Ukraine has grown against this backdrop.
Vance has long maintained a close relationship with US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll, who, in recent days, has become the "new interface" in talks with Europe about Ukraine, according to Bloomberg.
The journalists report that Driscoll is in constant contact with Witkoff and Vance, while Andy Baker, Vance's deputy national security adviser, is also actively involved in the negotiation process.
