US "cannot" supply weapons to Ukraine indefinitely – White House press secretary
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has stated that the United States "cannot" supply weapons for Ukraine's needs indefinitely.

Details: Speaking to the press, Leavitt said that the US President Donald Trump has invested an "extensive amount of time and energy" in seeking ways to resolve Russia's war against Ukraine, for which he deserves gratitude. She stressed that Trump's main goal is to stop the killings and bring the war to a final end.
Leavitt noted that the US president's frustration directly reflects the mood of American society.
She added that although Trump "stopped the funding of this war", the United States continues to send or sell significant amounts of weapons to Ukraine through NATO mechanisms.
Quote: "We cannot do that forever. And the president wants this war to end."
Background:
- On 23 November, Trump, while negotiations on a "peace plan" to end the war in Ukraine were taking place in Geneva, accused the Ukrainian authorities on his social network Truth Social of showing no gratitude for America's peace efforts.
- According to a poll by The Vandenberg Coalition, only 16% of Trump voters support Russia's position that Ukraine should make further territorial concessions for peace.
- Meanwhile, 83% of those surveyed want at least to maintain American commitments in Europe, including those to Ukraine and NATO, and only 15% support fully ending assistance to Ukraine.
