Emergency power cuts begin in Kyiv Oblast

Emergency power cuts have been introduced in two districts of Kyiv Oblast.

Details: DTEK reported that emergency shutdowns have been applied in the Boryspil and Brovary districts of Kyiv Oblast.

The company noted that energy workers will report any changes as soon as they occur.
During emergency shutdowns, scheduled outage timetables do not apply and cannot be predicted in advance.
Background:
- On the night of 24-25 November Russian forces carried out a large-scale combined attack on Ukraine, using sea-launched cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and a large number of attack drones.
- More than 40,000 consumers in Kyiv Oblast, 20,000 in Odesa Oblast, 13,000 in Chernihiv Oblast, over 21,000 in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and more than 8,000 in Kharkiv Oblast have been left without power as a result of the overnight Russian attack.
