Ukrainian forces hold back Russian advance near Huliaipole and regain control in this area – video

The Ukrainian Defence Forces of the South have stabilised the situation near the village of Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Background:

• On 27 November, Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Defence Forces of the South, said that one of the Ukrainian units withdrew from its positions near Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast without coordination, a situation which the Russians used to flank the defence forces. After the fighting, several Ukrainian soldiers were reported missing.
• DeepState, a Ukrainian group of military analysts, said that thanks to effective actions by the defence forces' command, Russian forces significantly slowed their advance towards Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
• DeepState also reported that the Russians had seized the village of Zelenyi Hai in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, and that near the village Russian troops had shot dead five Ukrainian POWs.
