Ministry of Energy reports how many Ukrainians left without power this morning due to Russian attacks

Over 500,000 consumers in Kyiv, more than 100,000 in Kyiv Oblast and nearly 8,000 in Kharkiv Oblast have been left without electricity as of the morning of 29 November as a result of a Russian attack.

Details: On the night of 28-29 November, the Russians conducted a large-scale missile-and-drone attack on energy infrastructure facilities in Kyiv, as well as in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava and Kharkiv oblasts.
The ministry reported that more than 500,000 consumers in Kyiv, more than 100,000 in Kyiv Oblast, and nearly 8,000 in Kharkiv Oblast have been without power as of this morning as a result of the attack.
"Emergency repair and recovery work is already underway wherever the security situation currently allows. Energy workers are doing everything possible to reconnect all customers as quickly as they can," the Ministry of Energy noted.
Rolling power cuts are being implemented today across all of Ukraine. Most oblasts also continue to apply electricity consumption restrictions for industrial consumers and businesses, the ministry added.
Background:
- Two people were reported killed and another fifteen were injured in a Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of 28-29 November. High-rise buildings and houses were damaged in several districts of the city.
- Residents in parts of the Obolonskyi, Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Podilskyi, Holosiivskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts of Kyiv have been left without electricity as a result of the attack.
