Russia attacks Ukraine with 137 drones overnight: 80 downed, strikes across 13 locations recorded

Russian forces launched an attack on the night of 4-5 December using 137 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera and other types, around 90 of which were Shahed attack drones.

Details: Early reports show that as of 08:30, Ukraine's air defence had shot down or jammed 80 Russian UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera and other types over Ukraine's north, south, east and centre.

Hits from 57 strike UAVs were recorded across 13 locations.

The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from the Ukrainian defence forces.
