Macron briefs Zelenskyy on results of his international talks

Details: The French president wrote at 21:16 Kyiv time that he had just spoken with Zelenskyy.
Quote from Macron: "I reiterated our condemnation and solidarity following the new Russian strikes.
I shared what my latest international talks, particularly in China, had clarified and committed to."
Details: Macron emphasised that France is determined to act together with other allies to achieve de-escalation and a ceasefire.
He noted that the parties will continue coordination, taking into account the latest discussions between Ukrainians and Americans at a meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in London on Monday.
"Europeans will certainly be an important pillar of a fair and lasting solution that we are developing together," Macron added.
Background: Earlier on Saturday 6 December, Macron condemned the latest large-scale Russian attack on Ukraine's energy and railway infrastructure and pledged that France will continue supporting Kyiv in its pursuit of peace.
