Details: The most high-profile case was heard by Chernihiv Oblast Commercial Court, which has issued a record ruling in favour of the Ukrainian agricultural company Mahnat.
The award orders compensation of UAH 287.89 billion (US$6.8 billion) in lost profit across two international projects plus legal costs – the largest successful claim since the start of the full-scale war.
As a result of this ruling, Chernihiv Oblast – with UAH 344.7 billion (US$8.1 billion) – now leads the ranking of oblasts by total satisfied claims, well ahead of other oblasts.
For comparison, Zaporizhzhia Oblast stands at UAH 22.9 billion (US$541.3 million), Donetsk Oblast at UAH 6.36 billion (US$150.4 million) and Odesa Oblast at UAH 4.68 billion (US$110.7 billion).
Since the full-scale invasion began, Ukrainian courts have issued 639 decisions nationwide.
Eighty five per cent represent full satisfaction of the claims, with only three companies denied.
Background: In July, the Kyiv Commercial Court ordered the Russian Federation to pay Ukrainian PJSC URD Ukrainski Dorohy (Ukrainian Roads), owned by Ukraine's MP Serhii Labaziuk, UAH 83.75 million (nearly US$2 million) in material damages for the loss of a mineral powder plant and equipment in Kherson Oblast.
