Power outages have been reported in Odesa, Chernihiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad and Mykolaiv Oblasts as a result of Russian attacks on the night of 12-13 December.

Details: "On the night of 12-13 December, the enemy carried out a missile and drone attack on electricity generation, distribution and transmission facilities in Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Odesa and Mykolaiv oblasts," the ministry reported.

"Consumers in Odesa, Chernihiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad and Mykolaiv oblasts remain without power this morning as a result of the attack," the ministry added.

Hourly rolling power cuts are being applied today across all Ukrainian oblasts. Power restrictions for industrial consumers and businesses also remain in effect in all oblasts, the ministry noted on Telegram.

"Current schedules are posted on the official websites of the oblast distribution system operators. Check your local energy provider's website for updates on power supply," the statement reads.

"Emergency repair work will begin as soon as the security situation allows. Energy workers will do everything possible to restore power to all consumers as quickly as possible," the ministry added.

  • On the night of 12-13 December, Russia carried out a large-scale combined attack on Odesa using attack drones and missiles. The authorities reported damage to civilian, energy and industrial infrastructure facilities.
  • On the evening of 12 December, Russia struck Odesa and the oblast with ballistic missiles and drones. A civilian ship in the port of Chornomorsk belonging to a Turkish company was damaged and one person was injured. Damage was also reported to civil and port infrastructure.
