Details: "Throughout the night, Russia carried out combined drone and missile attacks across Odesa. The targets were port and energy facilities," the ministry said.
"The enemy struck the port in Odesa, causing a fire in grain silos. The appropriate services are on site, dealing with the aftermath of the strikes. This is now the second attack on this facility in 24 hours," the ministry added.
Energy infrastructure in settlements across the oblast has been damaged as a result of repeated large-scale strikes. Parts of Odesa are without electricity, water and heat, with social infrastructure facilities operating on backup power sources. Water and fuel supplies have been secured, and repair works continue.
The attacks also damaged energy facilities in Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts, the ministry reported.
"In the city of Kherson, over 140,000 consumers are without electricity. In Mykolaiv Oblast, several districts are without power. Backup sources are being used to supply heat and water. Repairs are ongoing," the statement reads.
"The enemy is once again trying to leave hromadas without electricity and heating and destroy our maritime logistics by targeting ports. Despite this, we are doing everything possible to get critical infrastructure back up and running as quickly as possible," the ministry added.
