Ukrainian anti-corruption body to carry out investigation related to former MP at embassy in Israel – Ukrainska Pravda source

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) is expected to arrive in Israel shortly to conduct investigative actions on the premises of the Ukrainian embassy in connection with former MP Heorhii Lohvynskyi.

Details: Korniichuk stated that Ukraine's Foreign Ministry requested that the embassy premises be made available for the investigative actions. The embassy has not been informed which specific case the actions relate to.
Korniichuk also noted that the exact date of the investigators' arrival has not yet been set. He added that it has already been postponed twice.
According to sources of Ukrainska Pravda in law enforcement, the investigation will concern the case of former MP Heorhii Lohvynskyi.
Background:
- In July 2023, NABU served a notice of suspicion in absentia on Heorhii Lohvynskyi, former Ukrainian MP from the People's Front party, who is suspected of embezzling UAH 54 million (about US$1,2 million) from the state budget through the company Zolotyi Mandaryn Oil.
- NABU's Zolotyi Mandaryn case is investigating possible abuses of power by officials of the Ministry of Justice and the misappropriation of UAH 54 million. According to the investigation, the funds were diverted through the company Zolotyi Mandaryn Oil, which is linked to former MP Heorhii Lohvynskyi.
