Footage shows Ukraine's Air Assault Forces smashing Russian armoured convoy on Pokrovsk front – video

Paratroopers of the 46th Separate Airmobile Podillia Brigade of Ukraine's Air Assault Forces, together with neighbouring brigades, have reported that they smashed a mechanised convoy of Russian troops attempting an assault on the Pokrovsk front.

Quote: "Using the fog as cover, the enemy attempted to attack our brigade's positions, using up to 10 armoured vehicles and several dozen infantry. However, the enemy's movements had been detected in advance.
Thanks to coordinated work by our engineers, artillerymen and unmanned systems units together with adjacent units, the assault was repelled."
Details: The paratroopers reported that during the battle they destroyed two Russian tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, one multipurpose tracked vehicle and two quad bikes. They also hit one armoured fighting vehicle and one motor vehicle. They said 49 Russian troops were killed and five wounded.
Background: On 10 December, the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces reported that Ukrainian units were repelling a Russian mechanised assault on the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast.
