Details: Committee meetings must now be streamed online and video recordings must be published in open access within 24 hours of the meeting ending.

The law also requires the agenda to be published at least 24 hours before a meeting starts.

Quote from Yurchyshyn: "Journalists and members of the public will again be able to attend committee meetings.

This effectively returns parliament's work to the transparency standards that were in place before the Covid [pandemic] and security restrictions. The same rules will also apply to local authorities."

Background: On 14 January, the Verkhovna Rada endorsed bill No. 11321, which provides for opening parliamentary committee meetings to journalists, media and representatives of civic organisations.
