He pointed out that "there must also be a positive response from the Ukrainian side".

Speaking about the fighter jets, Kosiniak-Kamysz noted that their service life is nearing its end.

"It is better for them to go to Ukraine and continue to serve Poland's security in the future than to be turned into razor blades. I think most people share this view," he said.

The minister added that the government has not yet made a decision.

"The intentions are positive, but there must also be a positive response from the Ukrainian side," he said.

Background: During a press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Warsaw, Polish President Karol Nawrocki said that Warsaw has not ruled out resolving the issue of sending MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.
