Details: The media outlet reports that there were civilians in the village who had previously signed waivers refusing evacuation. Kordon.Media says that just over 50 people had been taken to Russian territory for so-called "filtration procedures".

The Red Cross, the White Angels evacuation unit and representatives of the authorities had evacuated some residents, but this amounted to only about a quarter of those who had been in the village. The rest remained despite warnings about the situation.

An Ukrainska Pravda source in military circles said that Russian forces have been attempting assaults along the Sumy Oblast border near Hrabovske for several days. The Russians have been repelled and have not managed to advance deeper.

Ukrainska Pravda is seeking an official comment from Ukraine's defence forces.
