The Red Cross, the White Angels evacuation unit and representatives of the authorities evacuated some residents, but this amounted to only about a quarter of those who had been in the village. The rest remained despite warnings about the situation.

According to an Ukrainska Pravda source in military circles, Russian forces have been attempting assaults along the Sumy Oblast border near Hrabovske for several days. The Russians have been repelled and have not managed to advance deeper.

Ukrainska Pravda is seeking an official comment from Ukraine's defence forces.
