In particular, Ukraine's largest energy company DTEK reported that the Russians had attacked two of its energy facilities in Odesa Oblast.
"The damage is significant. Repairing the equipment will take time. The situation is further complicated by air-raid warnings that are being issued every hour," the company said.
Background: Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko said that by 24 December the authorities plan to redirect electricity freed up by the reduction in the number of critical infrastructure facilities in order to reduce the scale of power outages for households.
