Putin's aide: No serious talks yet on trilateral meeting between Ukraine, US and Russia

Yuri Ushakov, an aide to Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, has said that the idea of a trilateral meeting involving Russia, the United States and Ukraine has "not been seriously discussed so far".

Quote: "So far, no one has seriously talked about this initiative, and it is not under consideration, as far as I know."

Background: On 20 December, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the United States had proposed that "peace talks" be held with representatives of Ukraine and Russia and possibly European countries.
