Ukraine receives €2.3bn from EU under sixth Ukraine Facility tranche

Ukraine has received around €2.3 billion in funding from the European Union after the Council of the EU approved the allocation of the sixth tranche under the Ukraine Facility mechanism.

Quote: "€2.3 billion from the European Union has been transferred to Ukraine's state budget under the Ukraine Facility financial instrument. In particular, the Ukrainian government has attracted €2.1 billion in loan financing and €200 million in grant funding."
Details: This is the sixth regular tranche provided under Pillar I of the Facility. The funds will be used to finance the state's priority social and humanitarian expenditures.
To receive the latest regular tranche from the EU, Ukraine successfully completed eight reform steps required for the sixth tranche, as well as one step envisaged under the fourth tranche.
"Support under the Ukraine Facility is crucial for strengthening Ukraine's macro-financial stability and ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of public administration during the war. The successful completion of more than 60 steps under the Ukraine Plan confirms our commitment to reforms, recovery, and progress towards membership of the European Union," said Ukraine's Finance Minister Serhii Marchenko.
Background:
- The current sixth EU support payment follows the fifth disbursement made on 5 November 2025.
- The government has previously assured that Ukraine will be able to receive all EU funds tied to reforms under the Ukraine Facility.
