Russian drone attack damages railway infrastructure in Kovel, west Ukraine

As a result of a Russian attack by combat drones, infrastructure belonging to the Lviv Railway was damaged at the Kovel station in Volyn Oblast.

Details: The strike damaged a locomotive and a freight wagon, while the blast wave shattered windows in a workshop at the locomotive depot.

Employees of Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine's state-run railways operator, are already working to deal with the aftermath of the attack, Kuleba added.

Background: Russian forces attacked a power facility belonging to DTEK, Ukraine's largest private energy company, in the south of Odesa Oblast on the night of 25-26 December.
