Quote from Ukrenergo: "During the night and morning, the enemy carried out a large-scale missile-and-drone attack on Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast; energy facilities in other oblasts also came under attack.
As a result of the attack, a significant number of consumers in the capital and the oblast have been left without electricity; there are also consumers in Chernihiv Oblast who have been disconnected due to the hostilities."
Details: The Russian attack is still ongoing. Emergency repair works will begin as soon as the security situation allows, the post said.
Emergency power outages have been implemented in Kyiv due to damage to energy equipment. Previously published hourly outage schedules for the capital, issued by the distribution system operator, are currently not in effect.
Emergency power cuts will be cancelled immediately after the situation in the energy system stabilises.
Measures to limit consumption are currently being forcibly applied in most oblasts of Ukraine as a result of previous large-scale missile-and-drone attacks on the energy system: power restriction schedules for industry and business and hourly outages for all categories of consumers.
