Syzran oil refinery in Russia allegedly under drone attack

Drones have attacked Russia's Samara Oblast, striking the Syzran oil refinery, social media posts suggest.

Details: The Telegram channel writes that the city of Syzran, where the oil refinery is located, came under attack.

Two of the refinery's substations were allegedly hit. Locals have reported they are experiencing power outages.

Official sources are yet to confirm a strike on the Syzran oil refinery.

Background: On 25 December, residents in the city of Novoshakhtinsk in Russia's Rostov Oblast reported a large number of explosions and a fire at the local oil refinery. The oblast governor confirmed the explosions were caused by an airstrike.
