Power supply restored to 728,000 families in Kyiv

DTEK, the largest private energy company in Ukraine, has restored power supply to critical infrastructure and all residential buildings in Kyiv after a Russian attack on 27 December.

Details: It is noted that the situation on the left bank of the capital remains more difficult. Emergency power outages continue to be applied there due to overloads on damaged networks.
Scheduled power outages have been introduced on the right bank of the capital.
"At one point, the number of Kyiv households left without electricity due to the attack reached almost 750,000," DTEK said.
Background:
- On the night of 26-27 December, Russian forces carried out a large-scale attack on Ukraine, using nearly 500 drones and 40 missiles, including Kinzhal missiles. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv was the main target, including its energy system and civilian infrastructure.
- A significant number of consumers in the city of Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast had been left without electricity as a result of the Russian attack.
