Russian attacks injure civilians in Kharkiv and Sumy oblasts on New Year's Eve

Two people were injured in Kharkiv Oblast as a result of Russian attacks on 31 December, and one man was injured in Sumy Oblast.

Details: Over the past day, eight settlements in Kharkiv Oblast came under Russian fire.

In the village of Odnorobivka in the Zolochiv hromada, a 76-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman were injured as a result of an attack. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

In Sumy Oblast, a 25-year-old man was wounded in the Boromlia hromada following a UAV attack.

Over the 24 hours from the morning of 31 December to the morning of 1 January 2026, Russian forces carried out 75 attacks on 37 settlements across 17 hromadas in Sumy Oblast.
