Reform UK leader explains stance on Ukraine after removal of its flag from government building
Nigel Farage, the leader of the UK right-wing populist party Reform UK, following the removal of the Ukrainian flag from the building of the Essex County Council, has said that the party supports the people of Ukraine but is against foreign flags being flown on government buildings.

Quote: "We support the people of Ukraine, of course, but under Reform there will be no foreign flags flown above our public buildings."
Details: Council leader Peter Harris described the decision as a "proud moment".
"The replacement of the Ukraine flag does not diminish the support and generosity that Essex residents have shown the people of Ukraine since 2022, and I know this will continue," Harris said.
Background: In Essex, the newly elected Reform UK administration removed the Ukrainian flag that had been flying outside the council building in Chelmsford. Farage confirmed that the Ukrainian flag there was replaced with the flag of the United Kingdom.
