Details: Svyrydenko said that residential buildings, premises of a shopping centre and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
Quote from Svyrydenko: "Even in the new year, the Russians continue to terrorise our people in peaceful cities, systematically bombarding homes and energy infrastructure in both frontline and rear areas. I thank the defence forces, first responders and all services that are promptly dealing with the aftermath. The enemy will not achieve its goal."
Details: The State Emergency Service reported that Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia twice overnight using strike UAVs.
The first wave occurred on the late evening of 1 January. Three fires broke out: a non-residential extension to a multi-storey building caught fire, as well as two outbuildings. Debris damaged residential buildings, road surfaces and vehicles.
The second attack took place at around 02:00 on 2 January. A shopping centre caught fire as a result of the strike. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, while bomb disposal experts examined the area for hazardous drone debris.
The service said all emergency services were working at the scene and that there were no casualties.
